During the next couple of months, we, the members of this church, will travel far and wide to refresh, recharge, and enjoy ourselves. It’s a great time of year, and I can’t wait to see your smiling, tanned faces and hear the stories of the incredible places you went.
Before you go, I’d like to share with you a couple of reminders, and a couple of things that I think will make your life better.
- Remember that, even though you are gone, the church still has bills. Please keep current on your offerings either before you leave or after you return.
- To that end, automated online giving is now available! It is called Simply Giving, and it is a great way to ensure that you don’t leave your check at home like I did last Sunday. Enrollment forms are in the Narthex and on the website. Take one home, fill it out, and place it in the offering when you return to worship.
- Don’t miss a sermon! There are now two ways to listen. One is that you can watch them on YouTube. The other is that you can listen to them on your computer or phone. Go to the church website, tisgrace.org, and click “Pastor Scott’s Sermons” to find both video and audio sermons.
- Keep the daily habit of prayer and bible reading. They’re actually better on vacation because you can relax and really enjoy God’s word and presence.
Summer is a wonderful time to enjoy friends, family, and get some fresh air. But don’t forget about God! Stay connected to God by praying, reading your bible, listening to sermons, and giving generously. There’s no better time than summer to bask in the light of God’s amazing grace.
God loves you and so do I.
