Take a virtual tour of our church and congregational activities…

Introduction

Amazing Grace Lutheran Church was established in 1985 by Christians who desired to serve God and their neighbors through the church. For most of its existence Amazing Grace has been a fairly typical Lutheran Congregation, made up of mostly white congregants with European backgrounds. As the community around the church began to change, the membership became more diverse. Then in 2014, Amazing Grace began an intentional outreach to the Spanish speaking population in the community and gradually over the last decade we have become an intercultural congregation, with two spoken languages (English and Spanish). In 2019 a Spanish speaking Lutheran Congregation Iglesia Luterana Sagrada Familia (Holy Family Lutheran Church, consolidated with Amazing Grace, and we began holding weekly services in Spanish as well as English. This unique journey, has led the people of Amazing Grace to the strong conviction that we must welcome all people regardless of language, race, nationality, document status, faith background, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, or anything else that too often divides us. We welcome every person because God welcomes all!
