Becoming a Member

Anyone interested in becoming a member of Amazing Grace Lutheran Church should speak to the pastor, who holds periodic membership classes. The classes are designed so that they don’t demand too much of a time commitment, but rather, are just long enough to accomplish something meaningful.

New members are receiving an overview of:

• How and why we worship the way we do;
• Review of the Reformation led by Martin Luther;
• Discussion of our fundamental beliefs, such as justification by grace through faith;
• A definition of the Priesthood of all believers;
• An Introduction to the creeds (statements of the fundamental beliefs of all Christians); and
• An overview of the sacraments (baptism and Holy Communion).

New Member classes are usually two sessions of about two hours each.
