You will find that Amazing Grace has two worship services on most Sundays. We worship in English at 11:00 a.m. and in Spanish at 1:00 p.m. Occasionally (usually about once a quarter), the entire congregation worships together in a bilingual service.
All of our Sunday services follow a traditional 4–part pattern of worship:
Gathering: We invite God’s presence among us, examine our sins, and bring everyone together in prayer.
Hearing God’s Word: We have readings from the Bible to help us understand God’s will in our lives. Then, the preacher (our pastor) preaches a relevant, timely message. Our responses to the gift of God’s Word can include singing, professing our faith, and praying for the needs of the world. We are also invited to make financial offerings to the ministry of the church.
Celebrating the Lord’s Supper: We invite all worshippers to the Lord’s Table, which we call Holy Communion. Through this, we are brought together as one community of faith, and NO ONE is excluded from participation.
Sending out: Finally, we are sent back into the world, ready to live and share the good news.
While our worship services follow the traditional Lutheran liturgy, we pride ourselves on incorporating new and innovative music, an informal dress code, and a casual, welcoming environment.
